FEUP Career Fair

On October 12, InvestPorto will be at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) helping companies looking for new talent in the field of engineering, at the FEUP Career Fair, one of the biggest events of its kind at the university level in engineering.

This edition will feature the usual stands in the main corridor of the Faculty, as well as recruitment and selection interviews in a virtual environment, providing a more individualized conversation between student and recruiter.

Taking place from October 10 to 12, the event organized by FEUP's Talent Unit features 120 companies and is designed to facilitate student job market entry.

"It's really an asset for our students and a useful tool for their professional integration, as evidenced by the most recent employability rates for FEUP courses, all of which are above 90%," admits Marta Rodrigues, who is responsible for the FEUP Career Fair.

One of the new features of this year's edition is the informal "Career (OUT)Sights" talks on professional experiences and career challenges with FEUP alumni and companies. There will also be a "Career Photo Booth", where students will have the chance to take a professional photo for free to be used on their CV or LinkedIn profile.

For the second time, the initiative is also hosting the "FEUP Escape Challenge", which brings together students and companies in a competition to solve puzzles in groups. The aim is to promote teamwork and the spirit of problem-solving.

Held annually for over 20 years, the FEUP Career Fair has evolved in its concept, dynamics, and range of activities. It is now more than just a space with company stands, including actions related to employment, recruitment, and networking between FEUP and companies, becoming more interactive and generating knowledge.
