- This programme supports Research and Development (R&D) operations, individually or in co-promotion, carried out by companies and/or with non-business entities in the R&I System (ENESII), aligned with the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (RIS3).
- This includes investments in industrial research and experimental development activities that are of special interest to the national economy due to their structuring effect on improving the specialization profile of the Portuguese economy.
- Operations that include industrial research and experimental development activities leading to the creation of new products, services or the introduction of significant improvements to existing products, processes or services are eligible for the programme.
Requirements
- The support to be granted takes the form of a non-refundable grant.
- Budget allocation is negotiable and subject to the maximum rates established in article 49 of the REITD (Regulamento Específico da Área Temática Inovação e Transição Digital).
- Operations must be considered as:
- Special interest, presenting an eligible total cost equal to or exceeding 10 million euros and proving to be of special interest to the portuguese economy (No. 3 of Article 118 of the REITD).
- Strategic interest for the national or regional economy, exceptionally, by joint order of the Government members, regardless of their eligible total cost (No. 4 of Article 118 of the REITD). - The application period starts on 30/11/2023 and ends on 30/12/2024.
