InFocus Porto: "Defining the Working Places of Tomorrow"

InFocus Porto: "Defining the Working Places of Tomorrow"
25 May 2018
On May 25th, Porto welcomed, at the Palácio da Bolsa, the event "InFocus Porto: Defining the Working Places of Tomorrow”; where the city presented the results of the work developed in collaboration with its local ecosystem and 9 other European cities.

Planning sustainable economic development, thinking about the attraction and retention of companies and talent, branding and territorial marketing, qualification of companies and human capital, and defining urban and spatial strategies coherent with this evolution - this was the challenge the city of Porto undertook with this project. InFocus Porto centres its intervention in the area of Asprela, the future Porto Innovation District and the Oriental area, which is undergoing a profound urban restructuring.

The Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Commerce, Ricardo Valente attended the event, as well as the Councillor for Urbanism, Pedro Baganha, among other experts in innovative urban policies, namely that of the international consultant, Miguel Rivas, Lead Expert of the InFocus project and Luís Carvalho, who lead a detailed study on one of the intervention areas.
