NTT DATA creates two innovation hubs in Porto

NTT DATA creates two innovation hubs in Porto
Sapo Eco · 24 Feb 2022
NTT Data is committed to creating technology hubs in the country. After the centres in Braga, Castelo Branco and Coimbra, which are already operational, the company announced the creation of two new hubs, this time in the city of Porto. Both follow the flexible, hybrid and dynamic work model adopted by the company, which is based on the trust and commitment of each employee. Throughout the year, the company plans to create ten more technology hubs in the country.

"We plan to create more than a dozen of these Hubs during the current year, preferably in centres of small or medium population density, promoting a strong connection with educational institutions, the business fabric and social entities located there. This way, we gain territorial capillarity and give our contribution to the development of these locations", adds Paulo Silva, partner & head of emerging business areas and delivery models of NTT DATA Portugal.

"All these units are integrated with the business areas of the company and aim to deepen and consolidate the knowledge and skills of the company, in sectorial or technological matters, to serve national and international clients. This is a bet on the creation of differential value, which will strengthen the company's capacities within the Group and represents an interesting opportunity for those who want to make a career in the consulting and Information Technology areas", he continues, quoted in a press release.

Of the two centres created in Porto, one of them functions as an "extension of the structure focused on development and support at scale and with a high level of efficiency of technological solutions" and the other "as a centre of expertise in OutSystems," details NTT DATA Portugal.

Despite the trend towards remote work, the company considers that the centres will be able to promote moments of face-to-face collaboration, "important to promote team spirit and revitalise energies".
