Super Bock Arena - Rosa Mota Pavilion among the candidates for the National Urban Rehabilitation Award

Super Bock Arena - Rosa Mota Pavilion among the candidates for the National Urban Rehabilitation Award
Vida Imobiliária · 31 Mar 2020

It is through the design of the Ferreira de Almeida architecture firm that we learn about the rehabilitation project of the old Rosa Mota Pavilion, today Super Bock Arena - Rosa Mota Pavilion, a work carried out by Lucios Engineering and Construction.

The rehabilitation of the iconic building is a promotion of the Círculo de Cristal consortium, formed by Lucios and PEV Entertainment, which won the international public tender launched by the Porto City Council in 2014.

From the old structure, a Congress Center was born, composed of an auditorium and four multipurpose rooms that can be united or subdivided, organized around a large semicircle foyer, which can be used as a support space, as a space for exhibition or for an isolated event. The construction of this auditorium required a great structural reinforcement, in addition to a very difficult excavation, in rock, to obtain the necessary ceiling height in the auditorium.

Equipped with the most modern technologies, today the Super Bock Arena - Rosa Mota Pavilion has the capacity to host up to eight thousand people in large cultural, sporting and business events.

Meet the candidates for the National Urban Rehabilitation Award here.
