The INOV Contacto International Internships programme allows multinational companies to host highly-qualified graduates for up to 9 months.
Both Portuguese and multinational companies can apply to host the interns. The latter need to have a significant presence in Portugal and a high strategic importance to the country’s economy, or should be located in markets with high potential for Portugal. International Organizations dedicated to activities in the field of internationalization can also apply, along with other public or private entities whose main mission is to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies and their export activities.
The host entity will cover any costs related to business travel, including accommodation during the internship abroad or in Portugal (if applicable). AICEP will support the following costs:
- A monthly internship grant and meal allowance throughout the entire internship period;
- A monthly accommodation allowance during the internship period abroad, based on the latest UN cost of living index published for each market;
- Worker’s compensation insurance;
- Work accident insurance;
- Health insurance;
- Round trip to the internship location.
Requirements
In order to appy, companies must ensure the following requirements:
- Develop a solid internship plan, with detailed taks for all of the internship's stages;
- Appoint an internship supervisor who will assure effective monitoring and guarantee compliance with the plan;
- Provide a workstation with all of the necessary equipment (namely a computer, access to an internet service, and e-mail);
