“Above average” infrastructures and human resources influence Webhelp to settle in Porto

“Above average” infrastructures and human resources influence Webhelp to settle in Porto
29 May 2017
The French multinational Webhelp will inaugurate its facilities in Porto on Wednesday, because it recognizes in the city "a very favourable ecosystem” to the implementation of its activity.

The office, located in the business park Hipercentro, in the Areosa area, already has a staff of 200 workers, with more than 90 percent being local citizens. By the end of the year, this team will have more 150 professionals. At national level, Webhelp - which opened two years ago in Lisbon - already employs 800 people.

About choosing Porto, Benoist Voldie, director of the local branch, said that the city presents a set of "above average” infrastructures and an offer of professionals of recognized quality, "such that a consumer in France doesn't notice the difference between a Frenchman or a Portuguese on the phone”.

Present in 21 countries, the company employs around 30 thousand workers worldwide. Specialized in customer service, the company recognizes in Porto an ecosystem favourable to the expansion of its business, a reality that has been emerging on a recurring basis, having been, just a few days ago, indicated as the destination with the highest number of investments and jobs created in Portugal.
