Accor opens new "Mercure Porto Centro Aliados"

The new Mercure Porto Centro Aliados hotel is opened at Rua do Bonjardim, 95.
With 83 rooms of various types, the unit also has an outdoor garden with a terrace, heated pool, and gym, as well as a bar area, and "Sítio Esquecido" restaurant, with architecture inspired by the colors of Porto. Directed by Thomas da Costa, the unit will be managed on a franchise basis.
Mercure Porto Centro will promote experiences that allow visitors to feel like real locals, namely through the brand "Local Discoveries". The hotel team will be prepared to assist in «immersion in the city's culture and local life, recommending various experiences that promote "feel like a local" », can be read in a statement.
Through the "Discover Local" program, the hotel invests in collaboration with local suppliers, valuing the local elements of each city, providing experiences associated with the culture of each location.
The hotel is also committed to progressively implementing its program of environmental sustainability practices, Planet21 - Acting Here, through which it has developed actions that have allowed it to return value to the community and the planet, for over 25 years.
The Mercure brand therefore has seven hotels in operation in Portugal: Mercure Braga Centro, Mercure Figueira da Foz, Mercure Lisboa, Mercure Lisboa Almada, Mercure Porto Centro, Mercure Porto Gaia and, now, Mercure Porto Cento Aliados.
It should be noted that Porto received this weekend the Best Destination City Break in Europe award at the World Travel Awards.
