Asprela with over 400 residential units for students as early as next school year

The mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, accompanied by the councilor for Economy, Tourism, and Commerce, Ricardo Valente visited the new residential complex for students LIV Student - University Campus.

The complex will be the first to open the doors of the two future university residences brought to Porto by a company belonging to the North American group Valeo, with its' opening scheduled for the beginning of the next academic year. It will provide more than 400 accommodation units spread over two buildings.

The second unit, LIV Student - The Street Campus, which is being built on a plot next to Estrada da Circunvalação also consists of two buildings and will have a capacity for 816 residential units, including rooms and studios, 17 of which are adapted to people with reduced mobility.

Both accommodation units will offer a total of 1,200 residential units for students with an individual apartment concept or with the possibility of choosing shared apartments with single or twin rooms, all with a private bathroom and reinforced wifi.

Residents will also have access to a set of equipment, namely a swimming pool, a roof terrace, in addition to study rooms, a library, and games spaces.

The new accommodation at Asprela, whose construction is under the responsibility of Mota-Engil comes to complement the service now offered by Livensa Living Porto Campus and Milestone, the first buildings in the Iberian Peninsula with a sustainable seal at all levels, both in operation since 2019/20. The first major coliving project for students and young workers in the city will also be located in the area in 2022.

Valeo Europe's investment in Porto is part of an investment program of 300 million euros to be invested in ten new student residences in cities such as Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Seville, and Bilbao.
