Awards of up to 75 thousand euros for innovative solutions in data
Until October 3rd, applications are open for the Data Challenge, a program to support the development of new business ideas with awards amounting to 75 thousand euros.
The Data Challenge seeks students, researchers, and recent graduates from any area of training and from any University/Polytechnic Institute in the country. By joining this free entrepreneurship program, participants will have the opportunity to interact with partner companies and contribute to solving real industry challenges.
Create autonomous condominiums, solutions that improve environmental health, unconventional e-commerce marketing approaches, new strategies for the decentralization of clinical trials, credit solutions based on digital lifestyle and social media or tools to calculate the carbon footprint of a supply chain, are some of the 20 challenges of the program that will support business ideas that develop data management, valorization, and security solutions states the University of Porto news portal.
The winning solutions receive a total of 75 thousand euros in prizes: a monetary prize of 2,500 euros and access to incubation – for four months – at the UPTEC or UC Business and training in topics associated with artificial intelligence of the I2A2-Institut d'Intelligence Artificielle Appliquée, worth 10,000 euros.
Organized by UPTEC and by UC Business, the Data Challenge is promoted by Santander Universities, in partnership with seven Portuguese universities. Applications for the Data Challenge are open until October 3rd and must be submitted on the program website.
