There are currently 550 people working at Blip, the Campo 24 de Agosto-based technology company that creates software for online betting group Paddy Power Betfair. But more are needed and the company continues its growth trajectory with the hiring of 150 more developer profiles by the end of the year.

It has already been distinguished by the British government and every year announces the opening of new recruitment processes. It is from Porto that Blip has been asserting itself in the area of Information Technology and is now betting on a growth in the number of employees in the order of 20%.

"This growth and continuous investment increasingly strengthen the strategic positioning we have for the group and reinforce the quality of the work developed by our employees," says, in a statement, the director of talent of the company, Patricia Carneiro.

And attracting and retaining talent is one of the pillars of the strategy of the technological company that, at the beginning of this year, adopted a new parental support policy, "Parental Choices", a benefit that allows employees to enjoy three extra months of parental leave financed by the company, three financial supplements, paid annually during the first three years of the child, or a combination of the two options.

The measure comes in addition to the one already implemented last year, the "Ways of Working". With this programme, Blip allows workers to choose where to work: in a physical, remote or hybrid format. Everyone receives regular monthly support. And it's also possible to work up to 20 working days per year outside Portugal, among other training and professional and career development actions.

In addition to hiring, Blip will start a nine-month paid internship programme in March. This year, the company is opening its largest number of vacancies ever - five dozen - for a programme with which the technology company intends to "attract young and qualified talent, and offer them the possibility to have a first experience in the professional world in a company that is truly committed to the continuous growth and development of its employees. The retention rate, says Blip, is 95%.
