The Porto-based technology company, which develops customised software for web and mobile in the area of online betting, wants to close the year with 575 employees, an increase of about 40% compared to the previous year.

Blip wants to hire more than 100 people by the end of the year, raising to 575 the number of employees in Portugal, and starts in September with an internship programme, for which it has more than 40 vacancies, the highest number ever since the programme was created.

"The expansion and growth of the team are integrated in the company's strategy and are a necessary step to achieve its goals. Compared to 2021, the number of Blip employees is expected to grow by around 40%. But regardless of the team's increasing size, Blip continues to place the well-being of our employees and talent retention at the heart of its activity, always with the aim of providing meaningful and impactful experiences to all who pass through the company," says Patrícia Carneiro, people director at Blip, quoted in a statement.

The Porto-based technology company, which develops customised software for web and mobile in the area of online betting, wants to close the year with 575 employees, an increase of about 40% over the previous year, reinforcing its position as Employer of Choice.

The technology hub of the Flutter group, one of the largest online gambling groups in the world, recently created the first Data teams, focused on developing solutions for FanDuel, the Flutter group's brand operating in the United States.

"This is a completely new challenge at Blip, which will allow us to learn, continue to grow but also to diversify our work, allowing us to further cement our position within the group to which we belong," Patrícia Carneiro also says.

More than 40 vacancies for internships

In September, the technological company resumes the BETa internship programme. Lasting nine months, the programme of paid internships in the area of information technologies is aimed at recent graduates in engineering, mathematics or design. This year it has more than 40 vacancies, the highest number ever since the programme was created in 2019, the company highlights.

"With the BETa Programme, Blip aims to attract young and qualified talent, and offer them the possibility of having a first experience in the professional world in a company that is truly committed to the continuous growth and development of its employees," says Patrícia Carneiro.

As with Blip employees, new interns will have the opportunity to choose the work model they prefer: remote, hybrid or on-site.
