Blip wants to recruit 250 new employees
The tech company based in Porto revises its hiring projections upwards for this year, after already reaching the 300 new hires it had originally planned for 2025.
Porto Leading Investor Blip, part of the Flutter group, is accelerating its growth trajectory with plans to recruit an additional 250 professionals by the end of 2025, following the successful hiring of 300 new employees earlier this year.
This revised target represents an upward revision of Blip’s initial projections, which had already been met ahead of schedule. The company now aims to exceed 1,450 employees by 2026, reinforcing its long-term commitment to building a global centre of technology excellence from Porto.
"Revising our 2025 projections upwards reflects the strength of our strategic vision and the confidence we have in the path we are building,” explains Ana Gonçalves, Head of Talent Acquisition at Blip. "Adding 250 new hires by the end of the year is not just a quantitative milestone — it’s a statement of the national impact we are generating from Porto, with local and diverse talent, global reach, and an ongoing commitment to innovation.”
The company is seeking professionals across several key areas of tech and delivery, including Backend and Frontend Software Engineering, Senior Engineering Management, Quality Analysis, Product Ownership, Project and Programme Management, Agile Coaching, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Cloud Engineering, at varying levels of seniority.
This expansion reinforces Blip’s role in Portugal’s technology ecosystem and highlights its commitment to people-centric growth. "This growth increases our responsibility to continue providing real development opportunities while maintaining an organisational culture focused on people, inclusion, and well-being,” adds Ana Gonçalves.
With its strong presence in Porto, Blip continues to attract top talent and deliver innovative solutions, supporting its global brands from right here in Portugal.
