Those in charge of the project, Tiago Talone and Pedro
Mota, stressed the importance of the project for the city and the region.
"It will be a Northern beer, from Porto," stressed Tiago Talone.
The investment, which in a first phase will be
centered on the reconstruction of a building in Sá da Bandeira Street and the
purchase of equipment for the launch of the company, is leveraged by a group of
shareholders, mostly from the Northern Region, with two promoters with
extensive experience in the sector. It is the first project supported by
InvestPorto. "It's a serious project, distinctive, unique in the
city," said Ana Teresa Lehmann.
Present at the visit to the future Fábrica de Cervejas Portuense were the City
Councilors of Innovation and Environment, Filipe Araújo, and of Surveillance
and Civil Protection, Manuel Sampaio Pimentel.
