Católica and Porto Tech Hub join forces to boost talent and technological innovation in Porto
The partnership between Universidade Católica and Porto Tech Hub aims to strengthen Porto’s tech ecosystem by promoting training and youth employability
Universidade Católica Portuguesa Porto and Porto Tech Hub have signed a strategic cooperation protocol designed to strengthen technological training and promote the sustainable development of the region’s innovation ecosystem. The agreement outlines a series of initiatives ranging from internship and scholarship programmes to the creation of new employment and joint research opportunities.
This collaboration seeks to bring academia and industry closer together, fostering a stronger connection between scientific knowledge and the needs of the technology market. Both institutions are also committed to establishing knowledge transfer centres and developing new activities that stimulate the growth of Porto’s tech sector.
Through this partnership, Católica and Porto Tech Hub aim not only to increase youth employability but also to consolidate Porto’s position as an international technology hub. Luís Silva, President of Porto Tech Hub, highlights the importance of this cooperation in strengthening local talent and attracting innovative solutions. João Pinto, from Universidade Católica, adds that the agreement represents a decisive step towards a more competitive, collaborative, and sustainable ecosystem.
