Critical Software, a Portuguese technology company, recently announced that it is recruiting professionals with autism. The company opened 14 vacancies for this initiative, which is intended to be inclusive and diverse, and the recruitment process is already underway, with an expected conclusion in May of this year.

Critical Software starts on May 1st the third edition of the Neurodiversity programme, in conjunction with Critical Techworks and Specialisterne. The technological company has 14 vacancies for professionals with autism/Asperger's to integrate, as of November, the software testing and development teams, in Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra, and the cities of Tomar, Viseu and Vila Real may also be considered.

"Integrating neurodiverse people in technology companies is more than doing the right thing: it is an opportunity to strengthen teams, to promote innovation in complex projects and to boost the competitiveness of an organisation. We move forward into the third edition of the programme with the confidence of the success of the two previous editions, certain that together with our partners we are having a positive impact in this scope", argues Catarina Fonseca, coordinator of Critical Software's Neurodiversity programme, quoted in a press release.

People over 18 years old, diagnosed with autism/Asperger's, with an interest in the IT area and an average level of English may apply to this programme.

"Candidates should also have knowledge of a programming language so that they can integrate engineering projects," the company informs.

Applications can be made online at the company's website or by sending a CV to neurodiversidade@criticalsoftware.com.
Additionally, Critical Software is also recruiting university students looking to gain professional experience. The company is looking for young talents that can contribute to the development of technology projects in several areas, from computer security to the aerospace industry.

The new edition of the "Summer Camp" programme aims to integrate university students and give them a first contact with the world of work. The programme of the company, which specialises in software solutions and engineering services for the support of critical systems, starts on 10 July and applications are open until 21 May.

The summer internship programme starts July 10 and is aimed at engineering and technology students. Interested students can submit their application here.

These two initiatives by Critical Software demonstrate the company's commitment to inclusion and diversity, as well as to the training of new talents in the area of technology in Portugal.
