Porto. · 24 Jan 2022

The first debate of the fourth edition of Entreprenow, the largest entrepreneurship event organized by the University of Porto, will take place this Tuesday. The debate, to be held at 5 pm, at the Porto Innovation Hub, will be about the theme: "Is the Power Public?". The event aims to promote discussion about the determining role of public power in current entrepreneurial behavior.

The event will count on the participation of Filipe Araújo, vice-president of Porto City Hall, Rui Monteiro, director of the Regional Development Services of the North Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N), and Joana Mendonça, president of the National Innovation Agency. It will be moderated by Ana Rita Bastos, a journalist from Porto Canal.

This edition of Entreprenow, which is supported by the Porto City Hall, through ScaleUp Porto., aims to involve the entrepreneurial community and the main stakeholders of the innovation system through a cycle of debates dedicated to five pillars: the role of business, academia, civil society, public power and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the development of actions that promote entrepreneurship.

The debate will be streamed on a closed platform. Participation is free but requires prior registration here.
