The first "Ex Capital Sessions" meeting will take place on September 15th, in Porto. Registrations are open.

EX Capital, an investment company launched by the founders of Sword together with the founding team of the company, will hold the first meeting "EX Capital Sessions", an event that aims to bring together the national ecosystem of female entrepreneurs and founders of startups on September 15, in Porto.

"EX Capital's mission is to support founders and entrepreneurs with less representation, such as women. In 2021, women entrepreneurs received less funding than in previous years and women founders only raised 2% of venture capital in 2021. It seems clear to us that not only is greater representation needed, but, above all, giving voice and creating relevant opportunities," says André Eiras, cofounder of EX Capital, in a statement.

Open to the community, the event will be composed of three debate panels, one dedicated to female founders, another to women in charge of venture capital companies and, finally, will end with a fireside chat between Virgílio Bento, founder and CEO of Sword Health, and Beverly Anderson, member of Sword's executive board.

The panel of female founders will have the presence of Marta Cardeano, founder of Nosy Wine Club, Sara Gonçalves, cofounder and CEO of Actif, Amélia Santos, cofounder and CEO of Innuos, and Joana Paiva, cofounder of iLof.

The panel of venture capital companies' managers will be composed by Sofia Queiroz, investment associate at Mustard Seed Maze, and Sofia Santos, partner at Faber. Both panels will be moderated by Mariana Barbosa, communications director at Coverflex.

The event takes place on September 15, at 5pm, at Sword Health's office in Porto. Registration to attend the event (with limited capacity) can be made here.
