FairJourney Biologics organises international forum in Porto
From September 9-12, The Antibody Series 2025 will bring together more than 200 participants from the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries
Porto Leading Investor FairJourney Biologics will organise The Antibody Series (TAS), an international forum that will bring together global leaders to foster innovation and advances in antibody therapies.
Between September 9th and 12th, TAS will celebrate its 5th anniversary at Alfândega do Porto, bringing together more than 200 senior leaders from biotechnology, the biopharmaceutical industry, academia, and investment. The exclusive event will feature 6 thematic sessions and more than 15 presentations led by experts, reinforcing Portugal's and Porto's role as venues for world-class scientific meetings.
Since its inception, TAS has welcomed more than 2,000 participants globally and maintains its mission to foster interdisciplinary collaboration to accelerate the development of new therapies. The 2025 edition will be chaired by Dr. Janine Schuurman, President of the Antibody Society and a pioneer in the field, responsible for several FDA-approved therapies and innovative antibody platforms.
Notable presentations will include Dr Peter Senter's "The Past, Present, and Future of Antibody-Drug Conjugates", or Prof. Annemiek van Spriel's "The Biology and Therapeutic Potential of Tetraspanin Proteins". The scientific programme will address cutting-edge topics such as:
- ADCs: Engineering Strategies - advances from the laboratory to the clinic
- Antibody Discovery: A New Reality - machine learning, computational design, and intellectual property
- Cell Surface: Proximity-Induced Modulation - tetraspanins, dual-binding antibodies, and immune synapse remodelling
- Targeted Protein Degradation - innovations in SureTACs and TRIM21-based modalities
- Antibody Designing - new design models and functional engineering
- Engaging T Cells: What’s Next? - strategies for TCEs, bispecific co-stimulators and precise target selection
On the 9th of September and the morning of the 10th, pre-registered participants will also have access to an Open Day at FairJourney Biologics´ headquarters in Porto, including guided tours of the laboratories, interaction with scientists, and individual meetings.
