Farfetch opens mentorship programme to encourage women to 'embrace careers in tech'
Sapo Executive Digest · 08 Feb 2022
The Plug-In Mentoring for Girls programme will allow young women to receive specialised advice and mentoring from technology professionals, promoting the acceleration of students' development.

"The Plug-In Mentoring for Girls is a unique opportunity for young women who are entering or have already entered Technology, Engineering and Mathematics courses to have a totally personalised accompaniment with other women who can help them on this path. The value proposition of this programme is unique and contributes to encouraging more women to embrace careers in technology areas," says Ana Sousa, VP of People at Farfetch.

"These girls learn what it is like to work in technology areas at FARFETCH and we, as mentors, also learn by listening to new proposals and suggestions and by feeling that we are playing a role in the future of these young women, by advising and serving as a model to stimulate a greater gender diversity in these areas", explained Cláudia Santos, Product Director at Farfetch and also one of the mentors of the last Mentoring for Girls editions.

Applications are open until March 8th here and the programme will start in April.
