Portuguese technology company Talkdesk, a leader in cloud-based contact center software development with one of its major operating centers in Porto, ranks among the 100 best in the world in its area, according to a ranking published by the prestigious Forbes magazine.

Technology companies that have chosen Porto to invest and look for skilled labor are once again featured in the "Forbes 2019 Cloud 100", which is published in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, two large groups of investors worldwide.

This time, the distinction goes directly to the Talkdesk Enterprise Cloud Contact Center, which empowers companies to make the customer experience their greatest competitive advantage.

The analysis process involved the classification of companies taking into account four main factors: market leadership (35%), estimated assessment (30%), operational metrics (20%) and people and culture (15%).

"We feel very honored and proud to be included in Forbes' prestigious Cloud 100 ranking of 2019. This recognition is the validation of our cloud contact center solutions and our leadership in the consumer experience market," said Tiago Paiva in a statement, CEO of Talkdesk.

In 2017, when it arrived to Porto, the team had no more than 20 people, but with the consolidation of the business - Talkdesk jumped from "startup" to "unicorn" - and the talent they found here soon multiplied this number, to the point of having to expand the operation in just two years.

The new space, located at Anselmo Braancamp Street, has a capacity to welcome more than 250 qualified staff. It regularly searches for talent in software engineering, data engineering, data science, speech science, security, product management, user interface design and user experience.
