Growth and sustainability in the city analysed at conference

The Municipal Library Almeida Garrett will host next Thursday, the 24th, the conference "Growth and Sustainability in Porto". The initiative, which will take place from 3 to 6.30 pm, is free of charge but requires prior registration.

Organised by the Vida Económica publishing group, with the support of Porto City Council, the conference will feature several speakers from public institutions and the city's business sector.

The conference will be opened by Filipe Araújo, vice-president of Porto City Council and councillor responsible for Environment and Climate Transition and for Innovation and Digital Transition, who will present Porto's strategy as a green city and the city's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The councillor for Finance, Economic Activities and Taxation, as well as for Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Valente, will also speak about attracting foreign investment and setting up companies in the city.

The potential of tourism in Porto in the context of instability, education, vocational training and qualified employment, sustainability and real estate development are other topics addressed.

The programme also includes a round table, moderated by the director of the editorial group Vida Económica, João Luís Peixoto de Sousa, on sustainable growth and the role of companies and institutions.

The conference will be broadcast live on Youtube of the Porto channel and on the Facebook page of Vida Económica. Registrations are open until Wednesday, 23rd, to the email anabessa@vidaeconomica.pt.
