i-charging equips fast charging network in the US
The Porto Leading Investor will supply approximately 1,000 fast chargers to the North American market, in partnership with EVerged
Portuguese tech company and proud Porto Leading Investor i-charging has been chosen by US company EVerged, which specialises in sustainable energy solutions, as a partner for the supply of direct current fast chargers (DCFC). The agreement will allow for the delivery of approximately 1,000 charging systems to the US market, consolidating the international expansion of i-charging.
The equipment has power ratings ranging from 50 kW to 400 kW per outlet, allowing for a significant reduction in electric vehicle charging time. The partnership aims to leverage the reputation that i-charging has already consolidated in Europe to strengthen EVerged's offering in the US market.
According to an official statement, the selection of i-charging was based on rigorous technical criteria. "We chose i-charging due to their unmatched technology, reliability, and cybersecurity standards," said Jefferson W. Smith, CEO of EVerged. According to the CEO, i-charging's "fast-charging solutions are among the most advanced globally, offering dual independent communication channels, continuous remote monitoring capabilities, and intelligent cable management systems."
Pedro Silva, CEO of i-charging, emphasises that this collaboration allows the Porto Leading Investor to "set new standards of quality and reliability in electric vehicle charging infrastructure."
The partnership responds to the growing demand for charging solutions across various sectors in the US, including commercial properties, municipalities, and enterprise customers. One of the highlights is the City of San Diego's public charging programme, which includes the installation and comprehensive management of the infrastructure for 10 years.
