InvestPorto has already helped the creation of 5,000 jobs

Most of the actions of the Municipality on this matter were focused on economic diplomacy, often led by the Mayor himself in international visits and welcoming investors in Porto, but also by InvestPorto, created to streamline this process. Over 130 meetings were held with investors and other national and international economic actors, while having been supported 42 investment projects, 22 of which international, which may contribute to the creation of over 5,000 direct jobs in various sectors of activity, mainly from shared services with high added value, ICT, real estate, tourism and agribusiness.

In the framework of inter-institutional articulation, a network of partnershipswas established through 31 cooperation agreements with economic operators and national and international organizations representing more than 13,000 members, including more than 12,000 companies (business associations, competitiveness poles and clusters), universities and research and development centers, chambers of commerce and public agencies referenced in supporting business activity and investment attraction.
