Milestone University Residence opens in Porto

Milestone Porto Asprela is Milestone's first university residence in Porto, and is inaugurated today. The Austrian company project guarantees the city a building that meets the highest international student housing standards and was made possible by a partnership with two Portuguese companies in site selection and construction.

Predibisa, a real estate consulting company specializing in the northern real estate market, was responsible for choosing the construction site and was also involved in various stages of the process. The choice of Garcia Garcia for the construction closed this tripartite partnership whose end result is a venture aimed at college students, but with features that make it a unique space in terms of housing.

The residence is located in a prime location near the Asprela area, within walking distance to the metro station and other public transport and with easy access to Via de Cintura Interna.

In terms of construction, the building has a contemporary architecture, torn by large windows and with interior spaces ideal for focusing on studying, but also designed for more relaxing moments on the terraces, gym and common areas.

With 220 single rooms, all with a small kitchen, a private bathroom, fully furnished and equipped, Milestone Porto Asprela has created, in the middle of the university, an adequate response to the needs of students who want the maximum comfort without the need for commuting.

The building is also a candidate for LEED Certification, which promotes an integrated approach to "green” construction, taking into account aspects ranging from design to lifelong operationalization and execution.
