Natixis in Portugal intends to fill 70 positions in its Center of Expertise, in Porto, by the end of the year, for profiles with a background in Engineering and Information Technology, of all seniority levels. The professionals will develop functions for BPCE Infogérance & Technologies (BPCE-IT), a subsidiary that integrates the Groupe BPCE and is dedicated to the areas of infrastructure and networks, end-user environment, IT security and production. The company intends to integrate 320 new employees, as part of the expansion of the BPCE-IT unit, in its Center of Expertise in Porto, by 2025.

"This is about reinforcing our centre of excellence with skills that are critical for Groupe BPCE. At a time when banking is increasingly digital, being the chosen destination will allow us to extend and concentrate in our centre of excellence functions of high complexity, diversity and responsibility, in order to accelerate Groupe BPCE's IT area globally," comments Maurício Marques, Natixis' human resources director in Portugal.

"Given the technological complexity and the demanding level of the functions, we intend to address this growth by developing our IT teams and recruiting very specific profiles in key functions. We want to continue to invest in talent to develop our projects and, with these new opportunities, employees will have the chance to develop their careers while contributing to a global project from Porto," he continues, quoted in a statement.

Natixis in Portugal serves the Groupe BPCE, developing, in a transversal way, solutions for the entities that compose it. One of the largest French banking groups, Groupe BPCE presents a wide range of banking and insurance activities, with 100,000 employees and serving 35 million customers worldwide. "These positions represent an opportunity to experience the development of a project with global impact, from Portugal, in an organisation with an entrepreneurial, international and multicultural spirit."

Jean-Marc Le Toux, head of BPCE-IT at Natixis in Portugal, also highlights the impact that employees of the new functions will have on the company. "The raison d'être of the BPCE-IT unit is to build together the most efficient, innovative, secure and useful technology. In these positions, the professionals will support BPCE-IT's strategic ambitions for the various clients of Groupe BPCE globally: to improve the quality of service provided to employees and clients; to strengthen IT security measures, in particular those aimed at controlling cyber risks; and to reinforce the expertise of employees, in particular that of consultants, thus allowing them to drive business development."

"We can even say that this is the biggest tech playground that has ever existed in Porto and is therefore able to offer a high level of expertise to employees. We are talking about 29 million external customers of BPCE-IT services, six million external customers of online banking, which is equivalent to more than half the Portuguese population, and more than 78,000 servers," concludes.

In total, the company intends to integrate 320 new employees, in the scope of the expansion of the BPCE-IT unit, in its Center of Expertise in Porto, until 2025. This year alone, the company has already integrated 60 professionals.
