NOS Primavera Sound 2022 marked the return of major music events to Porto and had 100,000 spectators from 33 countries, with emphasis on Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Brazil, USA and Switzerland. In total, 37% of the spectators were of foreign nationality. Furthermore, according to the study developed by ISAG and CICET-FCVC, 87% of the foreign participants and residents outside the Metropolitan Area of Porto came to the city on purpose for the festival, which generated a global impact of 36.1 million euros.

Apart from the music, the festival was also a stage for the presentation of Porto. Leading Investors, an InvestPorto initiative that promoted 17 companies from the city, which represent the dynamism, competitiveness and talent of Porto's business ecosystem. Over the last five years, A.P. Moller-Maersk, Critical TechWorks, FairJourney Biologics, Farfetch, Infraspeak, Intellias, ITSector, Kantar, Körber Digital, Natixis, NTT Data, Readiness IT, Sitel Group, TeamViewer, Uphold, Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Zühlke Engineering, have together created more than 6 thousand jobs in the city, exporting on average 85% of their production and adding every year more than 375 million euros to the national GDP.

At the Porto. stand, the 17 companies had the chance to promote their employer brand through several interaction dynamics with the public.

For instance, under the spotlight was the presentation of recruitment programs and opportunities in an interactive map of the city, which resulted in the submission of more than 495 applications from 29 different nationalities. Companies also distributed merchandising, included in the gift bags designed for the promotion of the Porto. Leading Investors. Finally, it is also worth highlighting the Porto. Leading Investors Taste n' Toast cocktail moment, which attracted many visitors during the 3 days of the festival.
