13 Oct 2021

Porto is in Expo Real, the trade fair for property and investment in Munich, Germany, until this Wednesday.

The city of Porto is present in Expo Real with a stand that invites visitors to take a seat, have a break and get to know Porto through landmark icons, such as photographs or the graphical brand design of Porto. The event is running until today, 13th October, in Messe München exhibition centre, gathering nearly 1 500 exhibitors from real estate, finance, digital and service sectors, including regional and municipal authorities.

As "A Global Business Hub for the 21st Century”, Porto positions itself as destination to "live, work and invest”. The municipality is represented by the councillor for Economy, Tourism and Commerce, Dr. Ricardo Valente, and by the councillor for Urbanism, Arch. Pedro Baganha.

The rehabilitation of Bolhão Market, Campanhã Intermodal Transport Terminal and the Oriental Hub (Matadouro) are key elements in Porto’s participation in Expo Real, as well as the municipal projects for affordable housing, such as Monte Pedral, Monte da Bela and Lordelo do Ouro.

Porto has six Portuguese real estate companies as co-exhibitors in Expo Real: Avenue, Civilria, Lionesa Business Hub, Mota-Engil Real Estate, Predibisa Real Estate and VPM Real Estate.

Porto’s stand is located in space 022 of Hall B1, operating as a "showcase” of Porto to the rest of the world. In 2019, Expo Real recorded over 46 500 participants from 76 countries and 2 100 exhibitors from 45 countries, covering an overall exhibition area of 72 250 sq. mt.
