The Portuguese technology company Decode generated 1.9 million euros in 2021, tripling the amount recorded in the previous year (580 thousand euros), announced this Wednesday. With the increase in invoicing and the number of employees, which already stands at 70, the company expects to reach three million euros this year and reach 90 employees.

According to the company, the development of solutions and the training of new talents, within the scope of the Solutions area, were the drivers of the growth verified last year - and, for this reason, will continue to be a trend for 2022.

"Decode managed to thrive in one of the most complicated years for the global economy and reverse what was the trend in the labour market," João Reis Fernandes, CEO of Decode, says in a statement, adding that "companies and organisations are aware of the importance of digital transformation in their services to ensure their competitiveness and, as such, we work to ensure that they can meet these challenges."

Proof of its work is the fact that the Innovation and Technology company was once again present in the Top10 of the Excellence Index - which evaluates internal satisfaction in companies and has as its main objective to analyse the Human Resources practices in force - winning ninth position. "The presence on this list represents the investment that has been made in the organisational culture of the company [in terms of] integration and leadership practices, work environment and people management," explains Decode.

As previously reported, Decode has been implementing a strategy of "work-life integration" among employees, with the aim of promoting well-being and happiness associated with work. Part of this strategy of decentralising work is the possibility for employees to choose where and when they want to work (depending on customer needs).

Goals for 2022

In terms of organisational culture, João Reis Fernandes states that the company is and will continue "constantly working on measures that promote employee satisfaction, fostering a work atmosphere that serves as a reference and is recognised as such".

With regard to business, in March, the Solutions unit will make available its first closed project for a company in the area of health and nutrition, and in the first half of the year its first product will reach the market: Up4Biz, a platform for companies that allows 360º management of employees, clients and business opportunities. "Health Paw, Foodwise, Decode ON Açúcar às Bolinhas, Decode Lifestyle will be other achievements to be presented until June," reveals Decode, in a statement.

All these projects "benefit from the investment that Decode is making in Webflow", it explains, mentioning "a low code SaaS platform used for the development and hosting of interactive websites, whose resources allow the designers of the Digital Experiences team to design, develop and deliver projects in a complete way, without depending on other teams".
