The Portuguese technology company ITSector closed the first half of the year with a 25% growth to 13 million euros, having already conquered during the pandemic three new major clients, two of which are international.

The cross-border business of the software development company specialized in digital transformation for financial institutions already represents half of the total. "In recent years we have considerably evolved across borders and this bet remains. In the semester that ended, it reached about 50% of the total turnover", reveals Jorge Ferreira, Vice President and Board Member of ITSector.

"We develop solutions for the financial sector and we are developing projects for clients in more than 20 countries between Portugal, the rest of Europe, Africa, and North America", he adds.

Expanding business means job creation. Between January and June this year, ITSector hired 38 new employees, currently totaling 511. Professionals with deep knowledge of the financial area, among whom 'business analyst', 'project manager', and 'testers' dominated admissions, who continue to check as stated Jorge Ferreira: "We continue to hire and we have several open job opportunities." In the technical area, the company favors skills in the 'mobile' and security area, specifies the manager.

ITSector made use of teleworking 100% during confinement, having implemented since the beginning of the pandemic a series of initiatives aimed at the well-being of employees and families. "The experience that already existed of serving some customers remotely was an important asset for a quick adaptation to the new working conditions"

According to the IT Sector Board of Directors, the results for the first half of this year point to "the continuation of a positive and sustainable performance".
