QSP Summit 2021 warm-up promises rewarding event ahead

Nouriel Roubini, American economist and former consultant in the Clinton and Obama Administrations, was the guest speaker during the QSP Summit 2021 warm-up, held on 28th January, via videoconference, whose audience gathered at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota.

This was the kick off for the 14th edition of QSP Summit, one of the most relevant events in the fields of management, marketing and communication in Europe. From the stage at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota to the world, the warm-up was a look of what waits ahead, on 1st and 2nd July at Exponor, and on 30th June at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota, for the opening session.

Nouriel Roubini, economist and professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business, is widely known for having predicted the global financial crisis of 2008. During his lecture, in the framework of the QSP Summit, whose theme is "Facing the Unknown”, Roubini evaluated the different reactions from several countries to the ongoing pandemic, prospects on the economic recovery in 2021 and what is expected from the Biden Administration. Also, how can Europe, and Portugal, sort the crisis out.

As regards the USA, Roubini affirmed that "the cold war between China and the USA will continue”, "even because of the tension regarding Taiwan”.

This special warm-up also joined leading national figures of the business and political scenes, as well as other international speakers, who will take part in the event, next July.

Councillor for Economy, Trade and Commerce of Porto City Hall, Ricardo Valente, represented Mayor Rui Moreira in this special session. "QSP Summit represents the will to connect to the world from Porto”, enhanced Ricardo Valente.

"This warm-up is a sign of hope. We are all certain that it is possible to hold the QSP Summit in July and with all the required safety”, affirmed Rui Ribeiro, CEO and founder of the event.

QSP Summit 2021 is Schedule to happen on 1st and 2nd July at Exponor, with an opening session on 30th June, at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota.
