Jornal de Negócios · 02 Jun 2020

The Portuguese hotel brand Stay Hotels is preparing to open a hotel next to Porto airport, adding 102 beds to the chain, it will be the 10th unit of this Portuguese hotel chain.

The Stay Hotel Porto Aeroporto will be located next to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and will open in a few weeks. It will have 102 rooms and is being developed with a promoting partner - Boaviagem. This company, which is totally dedicated to real estate leasing, did not want to reveal the value of its investment in this project, where the one assumed by the Stay Hotels group "was around 600 thousand euros”.

Meanwhile, this hotel chain, which is owned by the venture capitals Inter-Risco and Menlo, decided to reopen, on June 4, only half of its units. "We opted to reopen, in a first phase, the units located in the main cities of the country”, contemplating the opening of the Stay Hotel Porto Centro Trindade.

With the "Clean & Safe” seal of Turismo de Portugal, they guarantee that they will follow the hygiene and safety guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), which are reflected in their health protocols. For example, acrylics were installed at the reception to ensure proper social distance, and there will be more frequent limitations and cleaning of their common areas. More: breakfast will always be served in "room service” and with disposable utensils, and the capacity of these hotels will be limited through the interleaved allocation of rooms.
