Swedish company Transcom inaugurates new office in Porto

The Swedish company Transcom, founded in Sweden in 1995, opened, this Wednesday, a new office in the city of Porto, located at Rua de Latino Coelho.

Transcom has already created more than 100 jobs in Invicta and expect to grow with more than 300 positions throughout the year.

Transcom, which is dedicated to personalized customer service management, business processes and artificial intelligence for various sectors, has been present in Portugal for 20 years, employing more than 520 employees. It has been investing in a strategy to expand its activity, focusing on Invicta, where it already had a space on Rua de Sá da Bandeira, in addition to another office, located in Vila Nova de Famalicão. It has offices in Europe, North and South America, Asia and North Africa, with about 33 thousand employees in 50 contact centres, located in 21 countries, providing services in 33 languages and international brands.

They are currently suppliers of world-renowned companies such as TechStyleOS, Get Your Guide, CGI, PayPal, Whirlpool.
The inauguration of the new office in Porto was attended by the Councillor for Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Valente, "The reinforcement of Transcom's presence in the city of Porto, with the inauguration of this new customer support and nearshoring centre, proves Porto's ability to attract and enable the growth of companies with international business logic."

"Porto has grown rapidly to be a major business centre. The exceptional climate and quality of life have attracted young and well-educated people from all over Europe, which makes it very interesting as we are looking to expand our multilingual offer. In Porto, we can create an appealing offer for our customers, offering native level services for eight languages from one location," said Fernando Oliveira, Country Manager of Transcom Portugal.

"With this new centre, we expect to grow with over 300 positions throughout the year and provide services in multiple languages. Recruitment will be done locally and through relocation from other European countries, a process in which we have a strong track record."
