TEKEVER supports new canadian wildfire detection mission

Technology helps strengthen wildfire monitoring and emergency response in Canada

TEKEVER supports new canadian wildfire detection mission
AICEP · 22 Jun 2026

TEKEVER is supporting a new wildfire detection and monitoring mission in Canada through a contract with Canadian aviation operator Phoenix Heli-Flight.

The initiative builds on a partnership established in 2023 to develop advanced uncrewed aerial capabilities for wildfire detection and response in the province of Alberta. Following a successful evaluation programme, Phoenix Heli-Flight will deploy TEKEVER’s AR3 autonomous aerial system, equipped with specialised sensors and real-time intelligence capabilities, to support the early detection and monitoring of wildfire activity.

By combining aircraft, advanced payload integration and the Nova Maps software platform, the solution provides timely and actionable information to emergency response teams, helping improve situational awareness and decision-making during rapidly evolving wildfire events. The deployment comes as Canada continues to face increasingly severe wildfire seasons, highlighting the growing role of autonomous technologies in supporting environmental monitoring and emergency management.

Headquartered in Caldas da Rainha and with operations at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, TEKEVER continues to expand its international footprint, applying AI-powered autonomous systems to defence, security, environmental monitoring and emergency response missions worldwide.
