TEKEVER, a Portuguese unicorn specialising in aerospace technology, has announced the opening of its fourth drone factory in the UK, scheduled for 2026.
Located in Swindon, this will be the company's largest facility in the country, covering 254,000 square metres, and is expected to create around 1,000 skilled jobs. The new factory will have the capacity to support the entire drone production cycle, from prototyping to scale production, as well as research and development activities.

According to the British Government, the facility will bring core production of the AR5 model to the UK, as well as strengthen the existing scale of work on the AR3 platform.
This announcement follows the acquisition in July of West Wales Airport, which Tekever has transformed into a testing and evaluation centre for unmanned systems. In May, the company had already revealed plans to invest €470 million over five years in the British market.
