05 Sep 2020

The Municipality of Porto just launched the project "Study in Porto", a website where students that intend to come to the Invicta to study can find just about any information they need to navigate the city as smoothly as possible.

The main goal is to centralize in one online platform bountiful information where new students in town can learn things about the city and better adjust and adapt to a new reality both as a student and someone from Porto.

All tips students who move to Porto might need are available online at studyinporto.pt, available in Portuguese and in English, namely learning and research institutions in the city, finding accommodation, or even job opportunities and cultural and leisure activities.

Study in Porto is based in a collaboration strategy between the Municipality of Porto and the Academic Federation of Porto (FAP). Later on, this collaboration integrated other partners within the University of Porto, such as the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, the Portuguese Catholic University - Porto Regional Centre, the Fernando Pessoa University, the University of Lusíada - North, Porto Nursing School, University Portucalense Infante D. Henrique, University Lusófona of Porto, ISAG -European Business School, Uniplaces, Inspire Future and Erasmus Student Network - Porto and Commission Fulbright.

Catarina Araújo, Councillor for Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Porto highlights that the main goal regarding Study in Porto is to "promote Porto as a destination of excellence to study, research, work and live".

"The platform is targeted at both domestic and foreign students who wish to come to Porto", furthers Catarina Araújo, adding, "we hope that this can serve as the tool that will attract more talent to the city".

The Study in Porto platform is intended as a support medium to perform activities and programmes that can boost Porto as the excellence destination for knowledge and innovation.

Do not forget to check out the platform and keep in mind that "Studying, Living and Working" is the motto of this new website available at studyinporto.pt.
