"The Place": ISS opens its new tech center in Porto
The ISS Tech Team, headquartered in Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Porto, operates globally in over 30 countries, providing reliable IT operations, cybersecurity, and innovative digital solutions to more than 40,500 customers.
After a year of operating from Porto, ISS Tech Portugal opened its new technology center in downtown Porto. The new office, known within the company as 'The Place', will feature a gym, an outdoor terrace, and an events bar.
The company valued Porto as an "international and vibrant technology hub", noting that "both startups and large companies on a global scale value their highly qualified technology professionals", adds the statement, highlighting the existence "in the city and surrounding areas" of "several renowned universities that feed the job market with highly qualified young people."
Stella Alamil, Managing Director at ISS Tech Portugal, explains that the "Porto-based team is the first to bring together development and research to create the best digital solutions for us and our clients".
Markus Sontheimer, Group Chief Information & Digital Officer added "Our new technology center in Porto is an important milestone in our digital transformation. In order to become the technology leader in our industry, we are not only investing in cutting-edge technology but also increasing our internal capacity on a global scale".
