UPTEC startup with solutions for education moves forward with the hiring of more than 60 people
Porto. · 08 Aug 2022
Currently incubated at UPTEC - Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, DreamShaper captured the largest investment round of a national technology company in the area of education. The 3.5 million euros collected will allow the startup to move forward to hire 60 more people over the next year.

According to Notícias UP, this investment round is "the largest ever raised by a Portuguese Edtech". "Specialised in the implementation of active teaching methodologies focused on project-based learning, DreamShaper develops active teaching-learning solutions, adjusted to the needs of each institution, from basic education to higher education and already has about one million users.

With offices in Bogota, Budapest, Madrid, Lisbon and São Paulo, it is from Porto that the startup hosts its technology team. "After two years in a row of 100% growth," advances Notícias UP, "the company expects to surpass €2 million in turnover in 2022, continue to invest in product development and strengthen the international expansion of the business."

"From the beginning we have come across people and organisations that believed in our vision and capacity, even at a time when the market was not fully mature. When the Education sector started needing and looking for this type of technology, we already had the best team, product, and know-how to meet this need," says João Pedro Borges, co-founder and CEO of DreamShaper.
