How do we choose marketplace members?

Service providers listed in our marketplace have been curated based on careful due diligence by InvestPorto, including consideration of their quality, background and experience.

It is vital that members of the marketplace have professional business operations and an impeccable reputation.

We therefore choose marketplace members using a thorough onboarding procedure, which includes the following steps:

1.

All potential marketplace members must fill out an onboarding form listing their services, areas of expertise and background information.

2.

InvestPorto does due diligence of each potential member, following several predefined criteria:

  • Legitimacy and reputation: companies must provide a correct VAT number and company legal name. Legitimacy of the submitted information and additional checks on the company and its activity will also be done based on public information;
  • Service profile: the scope of services of an applying company must fit in the categories of the B2B Marketplace;
  • Address in Greater Porto: companies must provide a commercial address to attend/meet clients in the city of Porto or in the Greater Porto area/Porto metropolitan area. Companies unable to provide this address might also be considered, should they possess a portfolio of clients based in the city of Porto;
  • Vocation for international clients: companies must be able to provide their services at least in Portuguese and in English. References to portfolios of international clients and export markets might also be assessed;
  • Compliance: companies must not have any recent, relevant judicial incidents and must have a compliant status with the Tax Authority and Social Security;
  • Economic-financial risk: companies must not have a high economic-financial risk, which is assessed through a credit rating score provided by an external database.

In order to be approved by InvestPorto, companies must comply with all these criteria.

3.

Potential marketplace members may be asked to provide 2-3 recommendations from existing customers.

4.

All marketplace members need to read and accept our Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Legal Notices.

5.

After careful review the service provider will be onboarded and published on the service marketplace.
InvestPorto reserves the right to make changes to the marketplace or remove marketplace members at any time.

Service providers listed in the marketplace decide their own onboarding criteria and procedures independently from InvestPorto and are free to take on customers as they choose. InvestPorto is not responsible for the actions, disputes or other issues related to business relations developed within the service marketplace, including any possible disputes over contractual agreements.
