She is Tech, a one-day online event by Intellias with the support of UN Women, will unite more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs, top managers, and social activists from Europe and the US.
On January 25, the global IT company Intellias will hold a
She is Tech conference, a large-scale event for women in the tech industry. The
goal of the conference is to foster gender balance for future tech evolution.
For more than 10 hours, women from Europe and the USA will share their stories,
experience, and motivation and exchange ideas.
The conference will discuss how the percentage of women in
tech companies can be increased and what employers can do about it. It will
also focus on women’s leadership and careers, considering personal stories of
female leaders and top managers about their own paths and obstacles. The third
theme will be the role of communities in empowering women in the technology
sector and beyond.
"Since signing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in
2021, we’ve been consistently and systematically creating a better workplace
for women at Intellias and contributing to overcoming the gender gap in the
tech industry. It’s only natural that we now want to gather all partners and
experts to have a meaningful conversation about how we can lead the tech
industry together towards a greater gender balance.” – Oksana Chyvurina, Head
of the Organizing Committee of She is Tech, Director of Social Impact at
Intellias.

"As the founder of the first Portuguese community for women
in tech, I’ve been witnessing over the past 14 years how networking is key to
boost a woman’s career. At our community the focus has been on building a
strong long-lasting professional women network tied with a number of opportunities for inspiration,
mentoring, training and knowledge sharing.” – Vânia Gonçalves, Founder of Geek
Girls Portugal.
"We are proud to support the She is Tech Conference. Last
year for the Commission on the Status of Women, the UN Secretary General wrote
a special report on innovation, technological change, and education in the
digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and
girls. UN member states agreed to a substantial set of recommendations on how
to support gender equality through technology. We must work together to bridge
the digital gender gap and support women.” – Sabine Freizer-Gunes, UN Women
Representative in Ukraine.
Participation in the conference is free, subject to prior
registration. Registered participants will have access to the broadcast and an
opportunity to network in the conference chat on Discord.
