Portugal's Critical Software has acquired a stake in Two Impulse. Partnership promises to expand Critical's strategic presence in the field of artificial intelligence and innovation.
Critical Software has acquired a stake in Two Impulse, a
company operating in the artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive computing
market. The aim is to "continue to invest in artificial intelligence and
bring innovation to various industries and sectors", says the company in a statement.
With the dependence of various industries on AI increasing,
Critical presents this acquisition as "a significant milestone" for
the company, as it allows it to "integrate Two Impulse's experience and
resources into its operations. The aim is now to "accelerate the ability
to rapidly accumulate know-how and experience in this transformative
domain" and "explore a diverse range of strategic domains," says
Critical.
João Carreira, CEO of Critical Software, says that the
partnership with Two Impulse "will leverage engineering excellence,
reliable technology, quality, agility, and AI expertise to maximize the benefits
of AI while mitigating the risks".
On Two Impulse's side, Paulo Nunes, the company's CEO, says
that this partnership "represents an exciting new chapter in the company's
journey". "Joining the Critical Software family will be a
game-changer, bringing quality, security, and industry knowledge to the table.
This will give us new 'superpowers' to continue fulfilling our mission,"
he says.
The focus of the business is on intelligent maintenance
systems, defense and homeland security solutions, healthcare solutions,
financial services and energy management.
