Euronext, the pan-European stock exchange group, settled in the city of Porto, creating in Avenida da Boavista its new technology center that will serve as the basis for the trans-European stock exchange management platform of this important company. With the creation of these 140 highly qualified jobs, Portugal becomes the second European country in terms of number of employees, after France.

The center, in addition to the management and maintenance of the technological infrastructure, has security skills in the field of Information Technologies and works on the development of new solutions and financial services.

With the presence of the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, of the CEO of the company, Stéphane Boujnah, and the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, Euronext Technology began operating in what the Mayor classified as "a different city".

Euronext is a prestigious entity that exemplarily manages stock exchange operations in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and London, and which operates the main stock exchange in the Euro zone, representing more than 2.6 trillion euros in market capitalization.
