A global IT services provider with deep automotive expertise creates new development centres in Portugal.

Intellias, a global technology partner to Fortune 500 companies and top-tier organisations, enters the Portuguese market. The company will have Lisbon and Porto as the backdrop for its new offices. The inauguration is planned for this autumn. Intellias intends to assemble a strong team of IT specialists located in Porto, Lisbon and other Portuguese cities. By the end of 2022, the company plans to hire around 60 specialists, who will join the global team of more than 2,700 talents.

"With the increase in the number of technology and IT companies, Portugal has quickly become one of the fastest growing technology hubs in Europe. In addition to local experts, the country also welcomes IT specialists from all over the world, who choose Portugal as a place to live and work. By entering this market, we hope to be part of the local IT community and stimulate its development. Intellias offers a set of interesting projects in different technological domains. We invite Portuguese engineers to join and grow with us" - Vitaly Sedler, CEO and co-founder of Intellias

The Portuguese team will have the opportunity to work on technological solutions for international clients, while enjoying an organizational culture characterized by its human side.  Intellias adheres to human-to-human principles both at the strategic level and in day-to-day operations. The company creates favourable conditions for its employees to develop and grow professionally. Specialists have the opportunity to take control of their careers, work remotely or in the offices, learn new skills, become mentors, participate in engineering communities and enjoy a friendly working environment. Following this way of being, Intellias has been named as one of the best employers and service providers several times. The company was named as a "Best IT Employer" by Forbes and EY in 2020 and 2021. Intellias was also considered one of the most family-friendly companies according to UNFPA in Ukraine.

Despite working with most of the existing technological solutions, the company plans to pay special attention to automotive projects in the Portuguese market. Intellias engineers develop safe, adaptive and AI-based solutions for connected cars, making software-defined vehicles real. In addition, Intellias continues to expand its expertise in other strategic spheres, including FinTech, telecommunications, retail, agriculture and healthcare. The company's teams work with innovative technologies such as IoT, artificial intelligence, data science, Cloud, DevOps and big data. More than 2 billion people around the world use products created by Intellias' experts.

"A large part of our engineering team - over 60% - are senior level engineers. With high-level experience and deep knowledge of the industry itself, our experts develop solutions for software-defined vehicles that shape the future of mobility. Moreover, our team preserves a welcoming environment where everyone feels listened to and supported. I hope that Portuguese engineers will appreciate our know-how and partnership culture and join us to create innovative solutions together," says Intellias Country Head in Portugal, João Belfo.

For several consecutive years, the company has been listed among the world's leading service providers according to IAOP, GSA and Clutch. In 2021, Intellias' team grew by 70%, with the company continuing to focus on its global expansion strategy. This year, in addition to the opening of the new development centres in Portugal, Intellias opened three new offices in Poland and development centres in Bulgaria, Spain and Croatia. The company also plans to open new offices in Colombia, India and other countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
