Público · 02 Jun 2020

EasyJet announced on Tuesday that it will resume three-quarters of its operation in July and August, starting with about 50 destinations from Portugal, including Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.

The general director of the airline for Portugal, José Lopes, explained that the goal is to try to stimulate demand, with a balance between the launch of a promotional tariff for trips between July 1st and October 31st, 2020 but also with the implementation of security measures that will be put in place.

EasyJet predicts it will fly around 78% and 92% of the routes that serve Portugal during these two summer months, stating that it will continue to work with all relevant national authorities to assess, review and adopt necessary measures in the long term.
