Farfetch opens 40 vacancies for paid internships

Farfetch opens 40 vacancies for paid internships
ECO Economia Online · 21 May 2020

5th edition of Plug-In internship program, from Farfetch, has 40 vacancies for young graduates in the areas of technology, date and product and with up to two years of professional experience. The recruitment process takes place for the company's offices in Lisbon, Porto and Braga. Applications can be made here, until the end of August, and the internships are scheduled to start in October.

Due to the pandemic, recruitment and onboarding processes are expected to take place 100% remotely. If conditions permit, the company has already confirmed that the reception process may be in person. The selected interns will have the possibility to integrate international teams and "work on projects that are revolutionizing the fashion and retail industry", guarantees the company.

"Even at this time of greater uncertainty caused by Covid-19, we wanted to reinforce our commitment to talent once again. Of course, the current situation contains uncertainties, so we do not know what restrictions may be in place in five months, but we are prepared to remotely onboard this group, if necessary.” says Human Resources Director Ana Sousa from Farfetch.

Plug-In "offers a world of possibilities to interns who have just left universities and who will benefit from the mentoring of Farfetch specialists with several years of experience, capable of providing them with very enriching learning moments, in an informal but demanding environment.”, stresses Ana Sousa.

Since the first edition, Plug-In has already received 142 interns. In 2019, the internship program on the luxury fashion industry platform welcomed 38 interns and currently has a retention rate of over 90%. Farfetch has 14 offices around the world and employs more than 4,500 employees.
