Flights to Porto: Iberia includes city in operations from July and Wizz Air opens new route
Iberia will gradually resume its short and medium-haul flight program, with the flexibility to reschedule for all customers, as of July 1st. In the recovery plan, the Spanish flag carrier includes Porto’s Airport, the month when it definitively begins a new phase, abandoning its almost exclusive operation in the domestic market.
The airline indicates that it is also prepared to "resume long-haul flights as soon as conditions allow it, and quarantine and travel restrictions are lifted in countries served by Iberia".
For its part, Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced on Thursday, May 28th, the opening of 21 new routes departing from Milan Airport (Malpensa), in northern Italy.
The flight schedule covers 19 European cities, including Porto. Flights to Porto will start on July 19th, with five weekly flights (Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).
