Sá Carneiro among the Fastest-Growing Airports in passenger numbers
According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) for the first half of the year, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport recorded a 5.8% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023, positioning it as one of the airport infrastructures with the most significant growth.

Over the six-month period, nearly 7.5 million
passengers passed through the airport serving the Northern region, representing
22.8% of the national total, further reinforcing the growth trend observed in
recent years.
In general, the number of passengers handled at national airports during this period increased by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2023, exceeding 32.8 million passengers.
It is worth noting that
last year, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport reached a milestone of 15 million
passengers over 365 days, the highest number ever recorded.
